NDITC SPECIAL REPORT If you consider big box retailers racketeers you’re most likely wrong. If you consider big box retailers like Staples Inc., Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max clever operators of thousands of small sideshows you’re starting to get the idea. Their retail stores are little more than carnival sideshows that rack in billions of dollars year after year and despite the fact that they all charge too much the “player” customer keeps going back for more and more. The “operators” big box store management do not depend on luck in setting up the “player” customer to get the cash money.
